This module highlights the five approaches to diversity and inclusion, and then gives an in-depth analysis of culture and how it emerges in lived experiences.

Microaggressions & Microinterventions

2:30-4:30 pm

This module explores target and non-target group dynamics of people that experience the different types and levels of oppression, and introduces the concept of intersectionality. In response to microaggressions and other social harms, this module reviews what can be done to promote allyship.

Race and Privilege

2:30-4:30 pm

This module unpacks race and racism, the concept of race literacy, how race is likely experienced on the IDI continuum, as well as white privilege and how to identify and make privilege visible, to foster allyship and inclusive community.

Accessibility & Disability Inclusion

Tuesday, October 22, 2024

9:30-11:30 am

This module introduces disability etiquette and how to foster an inclusive working environment that supports people with mental and physical disabilities.

Gender Identity, Sexual Orientation & Privilege

2:30-4:30 pm
