笔谤别蝉别苍迟别谤:听 Elizabeth Antus

Despite the ongoing fight for disability justice, people with disabilities are still subject to structural oppression and interpersonal prejudice, and churches can be some of the worst offenders. Ultimately, Christians are called to understand themselves as belonging to the disabled Body of Christ, expressing a preferential love and concern for people with disabilities both within and outside churches. In this lecture, Dr. Elizabeth Antus explores the theological ideas that are used to reinforce ableism as well as the ones that can help Christians resist ableism and live out the Gospel more faithfully.

Sponsored by the School of Theology and Ministry听and generously supported by the Pyne Endowment Trust in memory of Professor Margaret E. Pyne, a lifelong advocate for persons with disabilities.
