Drawing on a few representative illustrations from Islamic music, painting, and architecture, this talk provides context for recognizing and appreciating the shared religious framework underlying the creative local expressions of spiritual life and practice across the manifold cultures, histories, geographical settings, and societies of the Islamic world.
