Student Grants

Summer grants were awarded to students who participated in unpaid summer internships at various civic organizations whose areas of focus included climate justice, criminal justice reform, education reform, and start-up entrepreneurship. Organizations included the , which works to promote emergency preparedness and climate change initiatives in the Greater Miami area; the听md传媒国产剧 College Innocence Program, whose work aims to prevent and remedy wrongful convictions in Massachusetts and beyond; , an NGO dedicated to leading the climate conversation around the globe; , a nonpartisan organization that is working to institute an educational amendment directed at narrowing racial, ethnic, and socio-economic education gaps in Minnesota; and , a nonprofit organization that works to develop programs tailored to serving the needs of incarcerated people, at-risk youth, teen parents, and direct-care staff in child welfare and youth service settings. A grant was also awarded to a student who was doing research looking at the underrepresentation of women in politics in Pakistan. While in Pakistan, she shared her findings with young girls in the hope of inspiring them to become politically engaged in their communities. Five students also received a grant to attend the Discovery Days program, which connects young women with female leaders from Fortune 500 companies, tech giants, government agencies, retail businesses, the sports industry, and other companies for networking and mentorship opportunities.
