Dr. Molly Magill is a Professor at Brown University School of Public Health, the Director of Biostatistics at the Brown University Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies, and an adjunct instructor at md´«Ã½¹ú²ú¾ç College School of Social Work. She completed her graduate work at md´«Ã½¹ú²ú¾ç College and her postdoctoral training at Brown University. To date, Dr. Magill's career has focused on the intersection of science and practice in addictions treatment. Specifically, her research examines psychosocial treatment efficacy, process, and methods of provider training. Of particular emphasis in her work are adult one-to-one or group-delivered therapies based on motivational, cognitive-behavioral, and twelve-step approaches. Dr. Magill has been awarded nine research grants from the National Institutes of Health and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles based on her research. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts and a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
