Profile

Carol Mann-Cohen MSW, LICSW is a licensed clinical social worker with over 35 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Carol embraces a client-centered and strengths based clinical practice perspective, believing that families can be our greatest source of strength as well as our greatest challenge. Her approach is informed by the beliefs that the individual or family is the true expert on their experience, and that there is always the possibility to create meaningful change. The incredible strength of individuals facing adversity and their resilience and ability to heal continues to inspire her. Carol is currently an Adjunct Professor at the md´«Ã½¹ú²ú¾ç College School of Social Work where she teaches Basic Skills in Clinical Social Work, Family Therapy, Clinical Practice with Adults, and Clinical Practice with Children, Youth, and Families.

Professional Activities

Amman, Jordan. As part of a collaboration between the World Health Organization and md´«Ã½¹ú²ú¾ç College SSW, these separate two-week teaching workshops were designed to teach advanced diagnostic and assessment skills to social workers in acute care facilities in Jordan. In addition to teaching these skills, additional focus was on evidence based practice interventions particularly wellness self-management for the chronic and persistently mentally ill.
